Phil Weasley achieved their B.A. in Graphic Design and Media Arts from Southern New Hampshire University in April 2018. Prior to this they spent three years studying Integrated Studio Arts at Northern State University. At NSU they focused on Illustration, 3-D Design (including ceramics), and encaustic painting.
They completed an MFA program at CCAD, Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, OH. Within this program they focused on sculpture and installation art. The focus of their studio practice was the navigation of space through preexisting relationships, specifically as it relates to queer experiences and identities, with objects in that space and the intervention of that space through the use of new sculptural, audio, or video based art objects. This experience allows the viewer to become not only an observer but also both a participant and co-collaborator within the installations created.
